Spirit of Kannamesai

In Japan’s autumn, there is a quiet prayer called Kannamesai: a rite of offering the year’s first rice and field gifts—the hatsuho, or “first fruits”—in thanks to heaven, earth, and the hands that nurtured them. For us, it is both a festival and a cherished turning point in the year.

At Ise Sueyoshi, each plate translates that prayer into the language of the table: a hassun (seasonal appetizer selection) touched with rice, moon-viewing arrangements, bowls of freshly cooked shinmai, woodland nuts, forest mushrooms, and richly flavored autumn fish. We compose every course so the season’s character appears at its most beautiful.

Hometown Harvest Menu

Ingredients come from Chef Yuuki’s hometown, Ise City in Mie Prefecture. We weave autumn tidings from the fields and shores into every cup and course.
The heat is gentle, the seasoning precise, the broth clear—so the contours and aromas of each ingredient rise softly. We cloak the dishes in the toasty fragrance of autumn and reflect the season with crimson maple and golden ginkgo leaves.

A menu that carries the chef’s pride. In this time when nuts, mushrooms, and vegetables abound, we offer a vegetarian and vegan kaiseki experience meant to linger in your memory.

One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten

Wow! We had an amazing experience at Ise Sueyoshi last week. Absolutely everything we ate was delicious and we loved that Yuuki was able to tell us where all of the food came from and knew the producers. The seasonality of the food is wonderful too, the new season rice we had was wonderful. The book accompanying the meal is lovely, the ambience is really special, with only one other couple dining with us, and the chefs are really friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough, just wish we could go again very soon!

To share the joy of kaiseki with everyone—that is our wish.
That is why we gladly accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free requests whenever possible. To prepare thoughtful, seasonal substitutions without disturbing the harmony of the course, please inform us at least 10 days before your visit; special sourcing and preparation are required.

  • Location: 12 minutes from Roppongi Station / 8 minutes from Hiroo Station
  • Seatings: 5:00 PM & 8:00 PM (simultaneous start). Saturdays also at 12:00 PM (noon). (Reservations only.) / Closed Sundays
  • Course: ¥22,000 including service & tax

Reservation Information

In response to many requests from our guests, Ise Sueyoshi now accepts reservations up to 180 days in advance of your preferred dining date.
With only 10 seats available, we are committed to providing a smooth and personalized reservation experience.
To ensure you don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate your important anniversaries or special occasions with us, we highly recommend making your reservation as soon as your plans are set.
