About

伊勢すえよしのこと

Ise Sueyoshi first opened in 2015.

“Ise Sueyoshi is a traditional Japanese kappo restaurant that serves kaiseki* cuisine using ingredients from local producers in my hometown. I have always been particular about personally visiting the producers and I endeavor to express their words and thoughts through the dishes I serve to our customers.”

— Chef Yuuki Tanaka

About Chef

“KAISEKI”

Kaiseki cuisine is a traditional Japanese course meal that allows you to experience Japanese culture and seasons with all five senses. One of the most appealing aspects of a Kaiseki menu is that it changes with each season.

  • For this reason, Kaiseki chefs are required to have a wide range of knowledge and skills and a deep understanding of the Japanese seasons.

おしつらえ

For this experience, you may choose to be seated at the Chef’s counter or in a private dining room.

Hospitality

おもてなし

  • At Ise Sueyoshi, we aim to serve food that reflects the passion of the producers. I personally visit the producers myself and pursue dishes that bring out the best of each ingredient. Without our producers, we would not be able to enjoy any of the delicious food on our tables.

  • We will provide you with an English guide for your dining experience so you can completely enjoy the“Kaiseki Cuisine Experience.” Kaiseki dining has several stages, including sakizuke (“appetizer”), hassun (“small foods on a wooden tray”), and wan (“soup dishes”), which are all introduced to you in English.

  • We have Kaiseki menus for vegetarian, vegan, and other special diet requests.

We want everyone from all over the world to learn about and enjoy Kaiseki cuisine. Kaiseki is the epitome of Japanese culture. It is our mission to improve and preserve Kaiseki culture.
