About

伊勢すえよしのこと

Ise Sueyoshi opened in 2015.

Ise Sueyoshi is a traditional Japanese kappo restaurant that serves kaiseki* cuisine using ingredients from local producers in my hometown. I have always been particular about visiting the producers and presenting their words and thoughts in the dishes to the customers.

About Chef

“KAISEKI”

Kaiseki cuisine is a traditional Japanese course meal that allows you to experience Japanese culture and seasons with all five senses, and one of the most appealing aspects of it is that it changes with the seasons. For this reason, kaiseki chefs are required to have a wide range of knowledge and skills, and a deep understanding of the Japanese seasons.

Hospitality

おもてなし

  • At Ise Sueyoshi, we aim to serve food that reflects the passion of the producers. I personally visit the producers myself and pursue dishes that bring out the best of the ingredients. Without our producers, we would not be able to enjoy any of the delicious food on our tables.

  • We made the “Kaiseki Cuisine Experience” which is an English guide for Kaiseki culture. Kaiseki has several menus including, “Sakizuke” (appetizer), “Hassun” (small foods on a wooden tray), and “Wan” (soup dishes), so the guide explains this in English.

  • We have Kaiseki menus for vegetarian, vegan and other food diet request.
We want everyone from all over the world to enjoy and know about kaiseki cuisine. Kaiseki is the epitome of Japanese culture. We have to improve to keep kaiseki.
